Global Visions Youth Media Day
Global Visions Film Festival partners with FAVA once a year to present Global Visions Youth Media Day presents Favas Future Visions. Future Visions is a long standing program at FAVA facilitated by Tim Folkmann with Edmonton’s inner city youth. Over a period of three weeks, youth take part in a Video Production Intensive with artist-mentors and learn the skills to create their own short, personal videos. These youth will have the opportunity to present their short films on this day, while interacting with fellow students from various highschools across the city.
Now in its ninth successful year, Future Visions is a unique opportunity to support the development of the individual voices of these students through media arts. The day will be filled with entertainment including a DJ, hip hop dancers and a host. A feature film will also be presented, with the filmmaker on sight to speak with the students.”
